The Eagle in the garden of Eden

Flying in the garden at night,
I see a gathering in the light,
A man, a woman, and a tree,
Is that a snake watching in glee?

Eve marvels at the sight of the tree,
She must not have seen the sight of the sea.
Oh, how delicious the apples must be,
The colour, the shape, and the texture
There must be nothing better than these.

I am an eagle, and I know when to flee,
Every animal’s too, when the snake is on a spree.
I have the wings, why they did not ask me?
They listened to a snake, that crawls on pee

Now the serpent slithers, whispering lies,
The promise of knowledge in her eyes.
But even the eagle, soaring so high,
Knows that truth cannot be bought or denied.

These two think nobody has seen,
Many animals have watched, eyes gleamed.
Didn’t God tell us that we are all free?
Oh, how they are blinded, why did they agree?

I soar above, as the sun begins to rise,
Watching with wisdom through ancient skies.
The garden, the tree, the serpent, the man
From this height, I now understand
How the paradise turned to sand
